The Profusion

Taunja Thomson has been writing poetry for a quarter of a century; her first poem was “An Ode to Colors.” Since then, she has been published in numerous journals. Three of her poems have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize Award. Her philosophy of poetry can be summed up in one sentence borrowed from Jack Kerouac’s The Scripture of the Golden Eternity: “Do what you want.” When she’s not writing poetry or staring at art, she can be found tending to cats, feeding wild birds, kickboxing, and playing in the mud under the guise of “gardening.”
